The SwaddleMe emerged as our favorite swaddler so quickly that we stopped using anything else the by the second week our baby was home. She started sleeping 6 hours at night by 6 weeks, and 8-9 hours by 7 weeks and I’m sure that this tight swaddle had a lot to do with it. The design is just the most efficient and effective of everything we tried (Miracle Blanket, Woombie, receiving blankets). I did notice that it could ride up and come close to covering baby’s mouth when her chin was positioned more toward her neck. I solved this by positioning the blanket so that it started just at her shoulders.
Another reviewer mentioned that the velcro pulled when their baby moved and the sound woke her up. The velcro sound has woken my baby when putting her in, but not during sleep. I just bounce her back to sleep once she’s all wrapped up and deal, because the velcro keeps her asleep where she would wiggle out of the miracle blanket.
We bought the organic cotton style for warmer weather, but for some reason the velcro on the fleece is much stronger.
All in all, a great product and an essential item in our household!
